Sculptural Ceramics

Exhibited in the large display case in the Atrium at Low Wood Bay throughout the summer 2026 is  work by the North Wales based ceramicist Wendy Lawrence. Wendy is originally from Clitheroe, Lancashire, but moved to North Wales in 1999. She has worked steadily in her studio in Denbigh for over twenty-five years and has participated at many clay events, demonstrations and symposiums. These range from The International Ceramic Festival in Aberystwyth, Clay Art in Wales, Scottish Potters Association and many events throughout the UK and beyond — including: Keramisto Ceramics Festival in the Netherlands, Art in Clay at Hatfield, Earth and Fire and Ceramic Art London. Wendy has been featured in the publications: Ceramics Art and Perception, Crafts and Ceramic Review.
She continues to divide her time between making and teaching (Senior Lecturer at Wrexham University) and joint organising Ceramic Wales, an annual ceramic event in North Wales.
