Kitty North

Born in 1963 in Lancashire, Kitty went to school in Windermere, at St. Ann’s School and Blackwell, the Arts and Crafts house designed by architect Hugh Baillie Scott. (Blackwell, near Bowness is now operated by Lakeland Arts as a museum.) 

Kitty studied at Chelsea School of Art 1981, followed by Brighton University in 1985.  She studied for an MA at Manchester University in 1987. Masterclasses with the artist Maggie Hambling followed at Morley College, London in 2014.

Kitty has lived and worked in Yorkshire for 27 years, her home and studio are in Arncliffe in Littondale in the Yorkshire Dales.
